In 1996, Thomas Stevens was named outstanding alumnus of the year by the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, where he completed his undergraduate studies. In 2007, he received a Certificate of Special Recognition from the Congress of the United States, together with a similar citation from the California State Senate.
